BioQuest Academy 2009 Graduates!

Wouldn’t it be cool if your classroom could see what you have done at BioQuest?

BioQuest’s “Outta School Time (OST)” has begun!

With support from the American Recovery Act Award Number R25RR024260 from the National Center for Research and Resources at the National Institutes for Health, Seattle Biomedical Research Institute is pleased to offer to 36 BioQuest Academy 2009 graduates senior year support and the chance to “shine” before college, through a unique independent research opportunity that includes:

  • Scientific support in the development of each student’s independent research project that can be taught in your high school classroom.
  • Access to BioQuest Discovery lab and equipment.
  • Research supplies budget ($150/student).
  • Publication of students’ completed projects.
  • Student mentorship and enrollment in the 2010 Student BioExpo, including sponsoring project poster printing costs ($20/poster).
  • Light meals and transportation support ($0.75 bus tokens).
  • College application and college essay support and SAT II test trainings.
